DSEI 2025 – TrackX, the new Patria all-terrain tracked vehicle

Its concept was unveiled slightly over one year ago at Eurosatory, in the form of the FAMOUS technology demonstrator, but now the new all-terrain vehicle developed by a team led by Patria of Finland is part of the company portfolio, and at DSEI 2025 the Finnish OEM announced its name, TrackX

The new vehicle was designed to ensure maximum mobility on soft terrain, snow being its natural environment, but worst than this is when the snow melts, and Lapland lands become traps even for most tracked vehicles.

Mass efficiency, wide rubber tracks, low ground pressure, a low and centrally positioned centre of gravity, independently adjustable hydropneumatic suspension for each track wheel, and an almost flat underside without torsion bars, these are some of the characteristics of the TrackX, which has already undergone a thorough testing campaign.

EDR On-Line could witness the vehicle mobility first hand in March 2025, during the Patria Arctic Event, where the vehicle took part in a firing demonstration and a subsequent mobility demo in deep snow conditions, its first appearance before numerous military delegations. Now the vehicle is ready for the market, and at the unveiling ceremony at DSEI Jussi Järvinen, the Executive Vice President, Protected Mobility at Patria, announced that the company aims to be ready for serial production in 2027.

As no changing were done since, to get deeper into the vehicle technical details we invite those who did not read the specific article written on the FAMOUS during the event in Lappland to do it now: Patria FAMOUS, from demonstrator to “far more than a prototype”
